The following chart reflects the 2006 and 2007 voting records of North Texas' Congressional delegation as analyzed by The Club for Growth and Citizens Against Government Waste:

Each of the four light blue bars above each candidate's name represents a rating for each based on that candidate's voting record.  Two ratings for each are from The Club for Growth and two are from Citizens Against Government Waste.  The dark bar above each candidate's name is the average (mean) of the four other numbers.

Jeb Hensarling comes in at the top of the class with an average rating approaching 100%.  Pete Sessions brings in a solid showing at 90%.  John Cornyn and Sam Johnson came in at over 80%.  The REST of the North Texas GOP delegation definitely has some 'splainin to do--particularly Ralph Hall and Kay Granger.  At the very bottom end of the curve, anyone familiar with Thomas "Chet" Edwards and Eddie Bernice Johnson will not be at all surprised to find out that these two are, once again, among the taxpayers' worst enemies.

(All numbers procured from Project Vote Smart).

Where has your Congressperson been on key votes?

Fortunately, most of our North Texas Congresspeople voted against Cap and Trade and the Spendulous Bill.   UNfortunately, several of our public servants wandered off the straight and narrow on TARP (a/k/a the "Wall Street Bailout") and on Maxine Waters' plan for giving home mortgages to people with crummy credit.  Any of you who get a chance to talk to Kay Granger or Pete  Sessions may want to offer some "constructive criticism" of their votes for the Wall Street Bailout and the "Morgages for Everybody" program.

The above is the very reason why I am helping Sam Finley run as Republican Primary challenge against Rep. Kay Granger. Her only reasons for these votes is she is not really a fiscal conservative, and that a Republican was in the White House.

Wow... I am sad to say that I am not shocked to see Kay Granger's voting record. I asked her a simple question to make sure that she held conservative values on a town hall-type call that she had. She avoided answering the question and muted me and moved on to the next caller. I knew then and there that she wasn't representing conservative values.

I helped organize the Fort Worth Tea Parties and other recent protests (like most involved... this is the first time in my life I have participated in such events). We are "true conservatives" who believe in the same values our founding fathers did. We are fully supporting Sam Finley in his primary challenge against Granger because of her voting record, and her unwillingness to answer basic constituent questions. Granger wants to give the appearance that she is "conservative" but look at her record! Sam Finley is a regular blue collar worker, a father that stepped up to the plate after the first Tea Party, he is a former Marine, former oil field hand and is a true conservative in every way. Sam Finley has many good upstanding people standing behind him. Thankfully under the current circumstances this will be an easy win for Sam.
